Gisele always dreamed of becoming a successful entrepreneur. However, when she set out on this journey, she met a lot of bureaucracy. Even worse, she found no support from fellow Brazilians who understood the complexities of the Canadian market.
Determined, Gisele studied the entire bureaucratic process on her own. As a result, she founded VIP, her pet care company. Through this experience, she became an expert in the Canadian job market.
During her five years in Canada, Gisele saw many Brazilians facing the same challenges she had. With a warm heart, she decided to become the support she never had. In 2022, she founded Embravan.
In just two years, Embravan has already connected with more than 200 Brazilian entrepreneurs. The plan for the coming years is to expand and contribute to the success of many more!
At 54 and without speaking English, Gisele moved to Vancouver. Five years later, she founded Embravan, an NGO that has already helped X Brazilian entrepreneurs.
It all started when she was a child and faced financial difficulties. To overcome this challenge, at the age of 18, she got her first job at Brazil’s leading bank. Just three years later, she achieved financial independence. By the age of 34, she had distinguished herself at one of Brazil’s top companies, Petrobras.
Seeking to reinvent herself, at 54 and without speaking English, Gisele decided to move to Vancouver, Canada. The reality was that she had to rediscover herself. She had to work in several entry-level jobs that did not represent her. However, she had a bigger dream—she wanted more. But she had no one to turn to. She was on her own.
Over five years, Gisele saw many Brazilians facing the same challenges she had: being far from family, struggling with English, and feeling professionally lost. She studied, graduated, and learned about the Canadian market on her own. Then, in 2022, she decided to found Embravan.
